Review of Extract (2009) by Heather O — 22 Mar 2011
Joel is the "king of Extract". He owns his own business, he's married. He's that guy who has it all so to speak. The one problem he's having though is that he's suffering from sexual frustration. His wife, Suzie, isn't giving any lately and it's taking it's toll on Joel.
His bartender friend, Dean, thinks Joel should cheat. When a new tempt comes in, Cindy, to work at Joel's extract factory Joel can't stop thinking about her. What Joel doesn't know is that Cindy has an ulterior motive a.k.a she's a con artist. A good one too. What she see's in the factory is the opportunity to exploit a factory worker's freak accident by convincing the guy to sue the place for a million dollars. This will not be good for Joel when he see's the opportunity to retire and all this shit begins to happen to him.
To top it all off, Joel takes Dean's advice while on drugs to get a gigolo to seduce Joel's wife to see if she'd cheat. She does cheat. As the gigolo would say "It was so easy." Much of Joel's adventures are through Dean who constantly wants to get Joel high. One funny scene involves Joel taking a hit from a giant bong and he slightly trips out.
The characterizations are hilarious in the that classic Mike Judge way, but it's not his best. Not his worse either.
