Not a bad film from mike judge, creator of the criminally funny beavis & butt-head series. judge misfired with his last effort, idiocracy, but that film was nowhere close to the cult classic office space.

Extract is a bit closer to office space, even though it still lacks any truly memorable scenes. jason bateman plays the straight-man role very well while ben affleck plays a decent slacker. the mike judge touch is seen with the assortment of maladjusted characters in the film.

This film is a treat for all mike judge fans while common moviegoers may want to save this for a rental. not extremely funny, more of a chuckle kind of funny is what judge aims for. that's what you'll get here and that's certainly not a bad thing...
