Review of Extract (2009) by Nathaniel B — 30 Jul 2012
'Extract' has a great cast, and a return to workplace comedy seems promising, coming from the director of 'Office Space'. As usual, there's some well-observed character moments, and Gene Simmons works fine in his role as TV lawyer Joe Adler.
Yet things don't fall into place - making Cindy (Mila Kunis) a con artist seems unnecessary, and the infidelity/corporate buyout subplots don't quite mesh. Like 'Idiocracy', the story seems to run long, even at 90 minutes.
Disappointing.
