Review of Extinction (2018) by Gandalfsucks — 27 Jul 2018
So much could have come out of the premise, instead it's wasted by bad acting, worse directing and downright lazy writing. Instead of building out the premise to deliver the big twist, it's slow and middling, making the twist rushed and the climax disastrously un-emotional.
For a story that depends on the emotion, there's no greater failure. Looks like a blockbuster that only Netflix money can make happen, but ends up a B-grade movie at best. At the end, the only thing I enjoyed is the end-credits song.
