Review of Extinction (2018) by Mike N — 29 Jul 2018
Creative Sci-Fi on that spread it's wings on what was clearly an Indie Budget. Performances by A-List talent drives us through lower tier VFX moments as views focus on the torture of a family in the foreground more than the spaceships and aliens in the backgrounds masked by smoke and light.
Socially conscious messages without cramming it down our throats was well done by the director. The indie nature of the film could have allowed for more gritty moments in the film but the lack of them allows this film to open itself up to a larger range of audience ages.
Clever examination of a fun subject matter.
