Because of the great performances from the three young actors and an imaginative premise, 'Explorers' appears to soar high. Once the kids' dreams of space are realized, that is when this film takes a crash landing.

I know part of the point is to make aliens that are not what we expected, but you definitely don't want to them to be overly silly or poorly designed. Enjoyable enough and a little aged, 'Explorers' fails to go the extra mile.
