Review of Experiment in Terror (1962) by Scott R — 31 Mar 2012

Quite an impressive effort from Blake Edwards, and it's notable for being one of the director's few non-comedies. Indeed, this is a highly tense, atmospheric thriller that boasts a good script, fine performances (Lee Remick carries the lead role extremely well), and a score from Henry Mancini that is one of his very best.

If nothing else, the movie is proof positive that Edwards was far more versatile than some might have given him credit for, and I'd love to have seen more from him in this genre.
