I like that the makers of this movie didn't really take a clear position for or against evolution, for or against intelligent design. I like that they focused on the most important aspect of science: the freedom to veer from the status quo in the form of hypothesis and research.

Most of the IDers interviewed were intelligent and well-spoken; they didn't seem crazy at all. And Richard Dawkins, more than ever, does. It's important to discuss ideas rather than dismissing them out of hand.

If scientists ever come to a clear consensus one way or the other, great, but how can they if all the ideas are not explored? Though I hope they do so outside of the public school system for now because that opens the door for school prayer and whatever my beliefs on God, I do not believe religion belongs in public schools.

Anyway I felt this put some really important questions on the table and if that opens up discussion then it's done its job.
