Who knew this was going to be a failure of a documentary? I had such "high hopes" for this...

How can you win people over with a topic that has little (I'm being generous) to no scientifically evidence backing it up? How about hip music? Check. Cool 50s propaganda films? Check. Make "Darwinists" (A bogus term might I add) seem like the Nazi regime? Check.

The opening shots are of the wall in Berlin. Juxtaposing that there is a wall between science and ID (Intelligent Design AKA Creationism). More specifically evolution and ID. Well, here's the problem. Science is science. Evidence/Data is analyzed, computed, and theories change depending on new evidence. (Look is up yourself, I'm not going to type it all out) With ID, there is only the theory that someone/thing created life. Where's the evidence? By the way, the bible is not evidence. There is no scientific data within the bible.

Ok, i'm getting into more of the debate, over the film itself.

So, here's why the movie failed. They say quite a few times that people just don't understand ID, but they never explain what people get wrong. If you're trying to win your argument, explain what the common misconceptions are, then correct them. Explain yourself.

Another failure: Interviews. Particularly with Dawkins. They ask him questions he really doesn't care to know the answer to. Such as, "Do you know any people that have been fired for backing ID?" The guy doesn't sit on his computer grinning all day because he found an article online saying Dr Whomever was fired for saying "blank". They try to make him seem like an enemy, especially when Mr Stein has his sit down with him at the end. Again, fail. The guy doesn't believe in a higher power, quit pestering him. Some of the guys they interviewed, however, were a little nuts.

Epic failure: Comparing ANYTHING that doesn't involve genocide or great suffering to concentration camps and the nazi regime. No, scientists are not fascists trying to crush your hopes and dreams. They are not trying to put you all into gas chambers and murder you.
