Review of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008) by Sarah L — 23 Nov 2008
Interesting... Very compelling, really. I was very pleased with the fact that they presented Intelligent Design and Evolution as competing theories, rather than any one as specifically true. It simply calls for both theories to be shown as they are: theories ALONE, both with flaws and and merits. Which, if you look at it fairly and honestly from a scientific point of view, is the truth. Science cannot prove either theory beyond a shadow of a doubt, simply because all scientific fact is proven by observation; and no one has found a way to observe the beginning of ALL life. So why shouldn't both theories be presented in the classroom? It's not a question of allowing or disallowing religion into the classroom. It is simply a question of allowing students to view both sides of an argument, and base their own judgements accordingly...
I'd recommend it to anyone...
