Review of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008) by Micah L — 17 Jul 2010
Starts out on the right path - asking good questions and promoting a thesis and an agenda, as a documentary should. But once it transitions into a comparison of Darwinism & the Nazi regime it loses steam, and unfortunately, sidesteps the thesis - that being the close-mindedness of the scientific community.
I'll give Stein credit, someone has needed to ask this question for about 30 years and it is a shame that its taken so long. It's unfortunately a shame in another way, in the ineffectiveness of the film to follow through on the original premise rather than shape-shifting the argument into something that is at least a stretch of the truth, and is probably much closer to being a simply ridiculous comparison.
