Review of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008) by Kurt N — 30 Aug 2010
Very good. This is not about a debate between religion and "science" so called, but rather something much different. What is being said here is more about the freedom to put forth ideas that challenge what is the accepted truth.
About academic freedom. The fact of the matter is, that in most cases there is academic freedom, as long as you are on the correct side of the wall. Darwinism/the theory of evolution dominate education.
One also has to realize that there is a distinction between Creationism and Intelligent Design. While Creationism is the Biblical side, Intelligent Design is not the same thing. However, scientists who would dare question evolution, and take the view of Intelligent Design are victimized and made outcasts.
A Creationist believes in the Lord Jesus Christ as the creator of the universe and everything in it, while someone who holds to Inteelligent Design does not necessarily belive that. It simply means that they believe there was an intelligence behind what we see.
And as to what that intelligence is varies amongst them. What we effectively see is a "scientific" theory, evolution/Darwinisn, battling for dominance and trying it's hardest to squash all opposition, not only Creationism, but all that oppose it.
Indoctrinating an entire population with one worldview gives the theory of evolution the title of religion. It is a religion whose adherants are in a holy war, a crusade against all who question it and will not submit.
Is there such a thing as academic freedom as well as freedom of religious belief, thought, conviction, and conscience? To some extent yes, but it is being destroyed each day by the priests of science falsely so called.
Their proponents cry theocracy at the Creationists, and not only Christian Creationists, but at those of other faiths as well. Is not what they are doing also a cause for Creationists and the Intelligent Design minded individuals to cry theocracy as well? Everyone should see this, especially if you value freedom and liberty.
Both believers and non-believers.
