Review of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008) by El D P — 14 Jun 2011
One of the highest grossing documentaries of 2010 & of all time. Film goes to great lengths to convince me that intelligent design (a hidden obscure nice pseudonym for creationism) has a place in science & education.
The film fails to do so & the film is an obvious piece of intelligent design/creationism/religious PROPAGANDA. The film pretends to be a true investigation/inquiry but really is just a masquerade for religious repression theories.
The ideas are so idiotic that they only reinforce greatly my idea of the separation of science & religion. (Yes science and religion should be separated just like the STATE and Religion must be kept separate.
) I think the film has a hidden agenda of forcing introduction of religious ideas into public school science classrooms. One thing the film did for me is to forever loose respect for Ben Stein. Since he tries to come across as such a pious investigating Christian maybe a Buddhist thing will happen to him upon his death & his karma will allow him to be reborn as one of the untouchables in the India caste system in the year 1800.
This movie is not a documentary at all, but pure anti-science propaganda aimed at the USA religious right conservatives. Its point is to cause controversy where currently there is none. Pure Science Intelligence & Darwism rule.
Stephen Hawking summarizes for us in 2011 : There is no god & he rejects the notion of heaven. âI regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.
â? Hawking ruffled religious feathers in 2010, when in his book, The Grand Design, he wrote: âSpontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist.
It is not necessary to invoke God...â? Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed is described by its promoters as a controversial satirical documentary (mocumentary in my own ideas) My thoughts are that Intelligent design advocates are currently persecuted & SHOULD CONTINUE TO BE PERSECUTED (UNTIL THIS CREATIONISM NONSENSE STOPS).
