Review of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008) by Chris L — 31 May 2008
This movie is one for those who like to think about issues. If you don't like to ponder different theories, or if you think the idea of Intelligent Design is rediculous - you probably won't like this movie.
The premiss is that many intelligent scientists beleive in some type of Intelligent Design as a real possibility for our beginnings - even the renown athiest featured throughout the movie, yet there is an effort to silence them.
Propoganda? I don't think so, but I lean to the Intelligent design theory already. Perhaps those on the other side of the issue see otherwise. The hitler/dawinism link while may seem over the top to many, yet the philosophies that have led to the mass genocide come from darwinistic ideas that we are all not equal.
The justification for slavery and the slaughtering of the "savage" native americans was also aided with these same types of mindsets. Whether you see it or not, it is interesting to consider.
It is also interesting to consider how our society works (not always fairly) to keep people, ideas etc on top.
