Review of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008) by Robyn H — 20 Oct 2008
Spirituality Ben, that is what we call it on the West Coast here in Los Angeles.
I've given this movie a 4 out of 10 because I think that it aimed towards a great topic, yet misses with its delivery.
Not once in the movie did they ever use the word Spiritual or Spirituality.
Which is unfortunate, because if no one told them, 'self help' and spirituality are the biggest selling books right now. They are the bridge in which science and religion meet and join at the hip in an international and universal way of seeing life.
What ID - Intelligent Design lacks is a clearer definition or better yet what should of been done would be to interview people like Deepak Chopra or Wayne Dyer, even Tony Robbins would of been appropriate. These are people who have sold millions of books and helped billions of people.
If you package something better, people will pay attention. Unfortunately the horrible examples in the movie of concentration camps, and Nazis, as with the ethnocentric view of the world through a victimized Jewish existence, only derails the movie. Too bad too because the premise was intriguing.
