Review of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008) by Billy P — 19 Jan 2010
You could be forgiven for thinking this film is about intelligent design, and judging by some reviews I have read I can see people have assumed just that. This film simply addresses the dividing wall in the scientific world that allows you to discuss what ever you want as long as it is on the right side of the wall. Ben Stein shines light on this wall and invites us to knock the wall down and just be open minded. Sure, he gets a little assertive with Dawkins, but all in all, he is not trying to push propaganda, he's trying to demolish it.
I'll finish on this, the reason I did not give 5 stars is because that even open mindedness he encourages (although necessary to get aggressive against one side to prove a point) can be missed in the film.
