Review of Expelled (2014) by Brandon W — 08 Dec 2016
I've heard about this for quite some time, and I saw that it was on Netflix, but I didn't want to watch it. What got me to watch Expelled, was my sister, who is a fan of Cameron Dallas. So even though I wasn't excited to see it, I was curious about how Cameron Dallas's first movie project is going to be.
Turns out Expelled is one of the most idiotic films I've seen in a long time. The acting is actually pretty good, and they pretty much try their best to make the film funny. The plot is nonsensical, and makes even less sense as the film progresses.
I wasn't bored though and was more interested to see what stupid moment the character are going to do next. I couldn't really root for the main kid as he's too selfish, and he keeps asking his best friend for his help which almost keeps getting him into trouble.
There are moments that come out of nowhere and were a way to keep the plot going, and the chemistry between Cameron Dallas and Lia Johnson is terrible and could've been more developed. The movie got some chuckles out of me, but good acting and a few good chuckles are not enough to save Expelled as it's not going to get new fans, and the old fans of Cameron Dallas would probably enjoy it which I don't understand why, but I'm not going to take their opinion away, I just hate this film for myself.
