Review of Exorcist: The Beginning (2004) by Angela P — 28 Aug 2008
If you take away this film's connection to the original Exorcist, it might not be a bad film. Unfortunately though it's meant to be the prequel and there are so many things wrong with this film as a result.
Stellan Skarsgard is great, he's a very good actor who brings dignity to a film that really doesn't deserve any. I can't actually bring myself to list all the inaccuracies in this film, I'll simply be here too long.
In short, this is a film made by Hollywood producers cashing in on something they just didn't understand. If you're a fan of The Exorcist forget it, it's not worth it.
