Review of Exorcist: The Beginning (2004) by Adam G — 02 Oct 2007
I don't know why I expected better from this movie, but it was terrible. This is actually the second version of an Exorcist prequel. Paul Shrader, who wrote Taxi Driver, directed the first version of the same film.
It was canned by Warner Bros. for not being gory enough, and so hired Renny Harlen of Die Hard 2 fame to totally re-shoot a new film. That's unheard of, and because of that nugget of information, I had to see both films.
They're both awful, by the way.
