And yes, like a true movie nerd and a huge fan of Friedkin's The Exorcist, I watched both versions of WB's attempt at an effective prequel. But they both miss the mark and then some. More so with Shrader's version than Harlin's misfired B horror movie, which does pay light homage to the original, but pales in any comparison.
