Review of Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) by Jaimie-Lee B — 16 Aug 2007
This is my take: it's an underrrated, so bad-it's-good film. Look at the cast: Louise Fletcher, Richard Burton, and all that voodoo-demon-disco score from Ennio Morricone. This film is so trippy, so well photographed, and so well-intentioned, it deserves a merit badge.
John Boorman is a visionary. I'm sorry, but the final showdown at the Reagan house with the locusts is still cool. Another guilty pleasure. I love it!!
