Review of Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) by Orlando D — 27 Oct 2012
Oh my lord what can I say about this movie other than it sucks! It starts off laughable as a sauced-looking Richard Burton is called to an excorcism of a hispanic woman and you cannot stop laughing at its badness.
Regan(Linda Blair, who felt this movie hurt her career and yes it did.) who is repressing the incidents that occured in the first film and she is under the care of a therapist(Louise Fletcher) who under hypnosis with this weird looking machine, all involved believe Regan is not free from the demon Pazuzu which has a hold of her.
It ends badly for all involved, from Blair's tap dancing skills(this will not get her a spot on Dancing With the Stars.) to the ending with come across like an Irwin Allen disaster film with earthquake, flying locusts, a car crash, a plane almost crashing and Burton beating the bejesus out of Blair in the film's hilarious sequence.
This is a waste of time and energy for all involved.
