Of course it's not compatible to the first film in any way shape or form. However, it kept me watching. It was a very interesting the on suppressed memories and spiritual aftermath of demonic possession, showing the nightmares and spiritual powers that follow.
The acting was quite good and I found the dream state scenes well done. Almost hypnotizing. Not terrifying like the first but delightful in a bizarre and unique sense.
