Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Melanie R — 03 Apr 2015

Even if it was not based on a true story I would have been disappointed. They completely and utterly changed the story. If the story of Exodus was a work of fiction that I had read I would have disliked how far they strayed from the original.

As a believer in the Bible it is downright offensive. The director and screenwriter obviously have zero respect for the word of God and do not believe it at all. They treated the story as if it was fiction to be bastardized however they wanted.

I would have understood if they added a few things to make the movie play better to a commercial audience but they totally deviated from the story to the point of disrespect. I give two stars still because the acting and cinematography were decent.
