Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Larry A — 08 Jan 2017
Visually it is stunning, there is a massive sense of scale and the cinematography is pure art. Small elements detract from the action such as the constantly ambiguous accents which fluctuate (especially from Aaron Paul and Christian Bale) between American and English.
Joel Edgerton offered some questionable acting aswell as Ramases, but this film is none the less enjoyable. To keep someone entertained for nearly 3 hours is difficult to do (trust me I have seen King Kong), and despite what others have said I thought the pacing in here was just right, it included all the points from the story without dwelling to much either.
