Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Bennie B — 15 Feb 2015
This was the most inaccurate rendition the Exodus that I have ever seen. Of course, it will be compared to The Ten Commandments, which is quite unfortunate for the writers of this movie, because it comes in a very very distant 3rd 4th or 5th.
This was more like a fairytale than a Bible story. The acting was great, special effects were marginal, which is a shame considering one of the greatest effects of all time could have been how it is in this movie, the parting of the Red Sea, also the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night.
This was a very weak movie and it seems as though the writers had an agenda. I would say they failed miserably. Highly highly highly not recommended to any Christian or anyone who has any familiarity with the story of the the Bible.
You will be sorely disappointed as was I.
