Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Tyler C — 08 Mar 2015
An enjoyable movie but why the decision to depict God as a young precocious boy? I found that cringe-worthy especially when he brewed tea for Moses as Moses wrote out the commandments! Are movie makers afraid to depict God as a real supernatural Being? The old movie makers weren't and their films were just as epic, possibly more so because they gave reverence to the creator.
I know I am in the minority because I actually believe in a creator, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong. However the actors were good; I especially liked Joel Edgerton as Rameses. The special effects were spectacular too.
Worth watching.
