Review of Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) by Kevin R — 03 May 2015
These catastrophes are the work of god.
Moses and Ramses grew up as brother with Moses being the adopted brother. They both were triumphant together in many battles with healthy competition. One day, Ramses becomes pharaoh while others ask Moses to lead them. A battle for power ensues as God dishes punishment for the sins of the Egyptians.
"Where have you been?".
"Watching you fail.".
Ridley Scott, director of Blade Runner, Alien, Prometheus, Black Hawk Down, Gladiator, Hannibal, Legend, Thelma & Louis, GI Jane, and Black Rain, delivers Exodus: Gods and Kings. The storyline for this picture is just okay and delivered in a very anticlimactic way. The special effects, settings, and attire were all perfect and the acting was okay. The cast includes Christian Bale, John Turturro, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley, and Ewen Bremner.
"I think you should go and see what's happening to your people now.".
We grabbed this from Red Box because the previews looked excellent when this was in theatres. We felt it was okay, on par with Pompeii. This was a step down from recently released Noah, but a step up from Kingdom of Heaven and Hercules. Overall, this is just okay and worth viewing if you don't have something better to view.
"I have an offer for you.".
Grade: C+.
