...a solid proof that visuals alone can't lift a movie no matter how damn neat its execution was. The content and momentum also matters. This film was an epic failure in terms of scope and ambition.

Its course of adaptation went sort-of nihilistic and most of its lead actors became a bunch of wasted talents. In the end, it's really just a pile-up of visual spectacles flashing right at you to impress with minimal impact.
