Review of Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010) by Stephen L — 16 Nov 2011
Perhaps the most concise allegory for the history of modern art in 90 minutes. It starts out as a innocent story of a special soul that is Thierry Guetta wanting to meet the street artist Banksy. Halfway through Thierry becomes the subject in a almost surreal comedic way that makes people wonder if the system had failed them or someone had screwed with the system of validating what is art.
IMHO a must for any potential art student.
