Review of Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010) by Steven I — 07 Oct 2013
Exit Through The Gift Shop provides a fascinating look at the work of well-known street/graffiti artists throughout the world through the eyes of a French video-phile named Thierry. It's interesting, it's funny, it's thought-provoking.
Is beauty truly in the eye of the beholder? Or is art something that can measured on a scale of quality? Can anyone be an artist? The movie hilariously tries to argue 'No' but accidentally and begrudgingly proves 'Yes.
' But is this the exception to the rule? You be the judge, and make sure to check this documentary out.
