Street art at its best is pretty awesome. But I do hate those morons who simply plaster some black spray paint on a wall and call it a day. If you call yourself an artist, make something beautiful. Or at least put some effort in your work.

First of all, Rhys Ifans should do more narrative work. His voice is brilliant for this kind of stuff. It would be even better in a children's story though. The thick accent just makes it more perfect.

This is a somewhat fascinating documentary about a dude who may or may not be completely mad, but who nevertheless catapulted himself into fame from nothing, which is always something to respect... if he is real. There is a growing suspicion it seems, that Thierry Guetta is merely an elaborate hoax, cooked up by Banksy himself (The definitely real and enigmatic street artist). This dilutes the film for me a bit, but it's still worth a watch. Real or not, it definitely says something about the art world.

I still don't get all the hype surrounding this film though. What do I not understand?
