Review of Exit Humanity (2011) by Zane C — 30 May 2012
A novel, character-driven take on the zombie genre, which succeeds in telling a good story without falling back on visual effects. Animation (hand-drawn?) is used really effectively to separate the film into distinct chapters, and the characters are generally solid, with good performances from the leads.
The scenery also works well to further underpin the overall bleak atmosphere, but don't expect 'Zombieland'; this is a thoughtful, generally dark take on the zombie genre, which hopefully serves as a decent precursor to the upcoming 'World War Z'.
