An interesting take on the zombie genre....done just after the civil war. this movie deserves 5 stars for making a modest budget look quite epic....the subtitle "a zombie saga" is not far off as the costumes, cinematography, settings, acting, etc is truly impressive for the size of this film.
however, the zombies weren't as scary as they could be and the typical "humans are worse" idea was good but just needed more oomph. still a director and lead actor to watch. bloody disgusting selects is still batting 100 in my book.
