Excision builds horrifying suspense in a "everything is not ok" suburban landscape. When we are introduced to Pauline- we think she'd rad. She may be- but more we learn that she has serious untreated mental health issues.
In this story, that is the killer in the woods. That is the shark in the water. Something is wrong with Pauline and something very bad is going to happen. I was honestly squirming and panicking in the last 10 minutes.
I hadn't been shocked by a movie like that in a long time.
