Review of Excess Baggage (1997) by Essi P — 16 Oct 2007
I have one question: why was this film made? :D It's totally useless. Alicia Silverstone's character annoyed the hell out of me. There was nothing to help to relate to the character. I just wanted to reach out and hit her. :D Just watch this yourself and you'll get the same urge. Well, I guess the purpose is that she's annoying, but it just gets too distracting. And, well, TOO annoying. :D.
The story was pretty pointless, boring and ridiculous. The execution wasn't spectacular either. The only thing I really liked was at the beginning when Benicio Del Toro's character steals the car. It was a well shot scene with good music.
Benicio was pretty awesome all the time. Well, he always is. The delivery of his lines and his body language were very amusing. Then again, I'm pretty biased when it comes to him. :P.
There were some brilliant moments between Benicio and Chris Walken, but unfortunately their talents got wasted.
