Review of Excalibur (1981) by Ryan H — 13 Feb 2008
A deeply flawed production *but* still the most faithful and visionary effort to tell the Arthurian myth from beginning to end and top to bottom. At times glorious, and at times goofy, lumbering and labored, but its astonishing ending leaves me in a forgiving mood every time.
