Review of Excalibur (1981) by William R — 14 Aug 2008
The most faithful and most visually impressive of all King Arthur myth adaptations; Sir Thomas Mallory would be proud. Also, a good chance to see some early silver screen appearances by Gabriel Byrne (Uther), Patrick Stewart (Leodegrance), and Liam Neeson (Gawain).
All that, and you have to respect a director who has no qualms about filming his daughter in a sex scene.
