Exam is a hard film to critique. It's a surreal psychological thriller, and therein lies my downfall. In most cases surrealism is either profound and interesting or utterly boring. This film was just decent.

The setup was intriguing- eight strangers in a room trying to answer a question. It certainly is thrilling, but in its attempt to be a social commentary is where it fails. The psychology isn't fully understood and it seemed unrealistic.

Usually I'd let that go but I know this film was supposed to be a gritty realization. But it wasn't.
