This is one of those high concept, low budget films that has the potential to be great if done properly. Of course, it isn't done properly (like most of these types of films). The direction is pretty atrocious.

The director thinks we can't possibly remember anything said at the beginning of the movie and so repeatedly reminds us as if we are all forgetful. The vague sci-fi thing doesn't help either. Why not just have this concept set now instead? Wouldn't that work better? And there are a host of other problems but frankly I don't care enough to enumerate them.
