Review of Exam (2009) by Elian D — 22 May 2012
I'm ussually a fan of this kind of claustrophobic, dialog-driven movies where a few charachters interact in a single-location single-time scene, like 12 Angry Men, or Big Kahuna, or more recently Carnage... But Exam isn't anywhere near those examples.
The story is good, and the plot twists would've worked, if done properly, but the script needs a few tweaks, and there are a few logic leaps that the characters take just to move forward.
The direction is all over the place and the performaces, while not abismal, don't mesure up to the level needed to pull this off.
It's worth a watch, but don't expect much from it.
