Perfect Sci-Fi Horror/Thriller. Is this even considered a horror movie? By the end of the movie, I decided it is, because the ending is certainly horrible. It fits all the conventions of a horror movie.
Main character, trapped, with a supernatural being. While the being may not be supernatural -- it is certainly inhuman in many ways, and the inability to understand this thing's existence or scope of its power -- makes it terrifying.
The ending is terrifying, and is still kind of sitting with me in the pit of my stomach. There will be many midnight searches about A.I Alex Garland's best work.
