Ex Machina is the first film directed by Alex Garland and boy does he do an amazing job for directing a movie for the first time. Michael Bay take notes. Ex Machina stars Domnhall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, and Alicia Vikander.

The film is about a guy named Caleb who wins this job to travel to this lab/mansion and interview an artificial intelligence machine created by Oscar Isaacs character. I really enjoyed Ex Machina. I thought the film was very engaging with beautiful effects, cinematography, and stellar performances.

I love the originality of the movie. Its something I've never quite seen before and was very different. Isaac was by far the best character and had the best performance. He had energy and really just held the movie together.

Gleeson and Vikander both did great jobs I wasn't just as big of a fan of Gleesons character and found him to be a priss. The film looks great. I live good Sci Fi films and Ex Machina made this a perfect movie for Sci-Fi goers.

Just the overall feel and look of the movie adds to its Sci-Fi environment. The plot is pretty steady. It builds up strong tension throughout the film to set itself up for a decent climax. There are a lot of creepy, suspenseful scenes that make up for a better movie.

My biggest issue with the film is actually the final outcome. It was a bit underwhelming and I felt it could have ended with a more satisfying finale if the plot was setted up in a different way. Overall Ex Machina is a very solid film.

Visually beautiful, entertaining plot, intelligently thought out. Ex Machina may not be the movie for everyone but it is a good watch for Sci Fi fans.
