Review of Ex Machina (2015) by Tim R — 26 Jun 2016
So I enjoyed it. I wanted to see what happens, so it was pretty good story telling in that regard. Certainly a different interesting take on the countless artificial intelligence out there. Having said that, they sort of had to break away all the believability in order to achieve the story. It felt very engineered, like everything that was happening was conveniently for the plot to unfold, realism be damned! Not that that is necessarily a bad thing, because it was a good story, but I just prefer it to be," less convenient.
And onto another point that ticks me off about just about every movie ever now a days. Leaving the viewer hanging! What the heck.
