Ex Machina is anchored by a strong cast, especially Vikander as well as a engaging dialogue and excellent visual effects considering the budget of the film. The Sci-fi film has been done before better and worse in the past but introduces a fresh take on the genre even though the ending isn't quite as strong as it needed to be.
