This is the last good ivan reitman film, a slight return to the "ghostbuster"'s formula, with a group of characters taking on the big bad threat to humanity. duchovny is very good in his first comic role, a precursor to the brilliant hank moody perhaps, as is orlando jones and seann william scott like usual.

also, for once, this is a film where I really enjoyed julianne moore, which is extremely rare, but she really pushes the physical comedy and dialog beats. some great supporting comedy work from ted levine (cue q lazzarus), reitman favorite, dan ackroyd, and ty burrell who is now just killing it on "modern family.

" for a fun sci-fi comedy, this film definitely delivers.
