Review of Evolution (2001) by Wendy M — 01 May 2012
David Duchovny, Orlando Jones, Sean William Scott, and Julianne Moore play a bunch of saps who encounter a meteor bearing single-celled organisms. It's initially a scientific investigation, but the rapid evolution of the alien creatures begins to threaten the survival of the human race.
Director Ivan Reitman, who crams this movie with a horde of CGI monsters, is blatantly trying to recall Ghostbusters with this comedy. While Evolution lacks Ghostbusters' repeat viewing appeal, it still has enough funny moments to be worth seeing once.
