Evolution is fun, though not as funny as it tries to be. An overabundance of butt jokes and gross-out moments. Most of the entertainment comes from the great cast and solid characters, and some decent creature effects.
The film ends up being rather lackluster to its promise, but it can still be entertaining enough to sit through.
