Review of Evil Dead Trap (1988) by Liam H — 27 Jun 2013
If Argento or Fulci did Asian horror! A nice idea that starts off effective (take for some needless gratuitous sex and rape scenes) but slowly loses its momentum as the film moves towards it's grotesque and slightly ridiculous finale via a predictable twist.
Evil Dead Trap does feature some effectively brutal and bloody sequences early on and some suitably menacing cinematography, but suffers also for running on a little too long. Still, worthy of a checkout for gorehounds.
