It was an awesome film. I love the original and nothing will ever come close to it, but this film takes on a different road. its not a remake to me it a new film in the series. Hell if you have read online we are getting Army of Darkness 2 and that from the mouth of Ash himself.
It's remakes or retellings like this that make it possible. I'm happy with the overall success of this movie. It made these brats in this generation no what a real horror is suppose to be. Fun, exciting, scary and most of all gory. No more PG-13 horror flicks just so they can snag a few extra bucks from the kiddies and then steal more cause the unrated directors cut or whatever they label it.
